Monday we had the morning off while Nathan, Vasyl, Kim, Laura, and Stacey went for a gift exchange with the governor and other dignitaries. So the rest of us boys decided we were going to go and get a Turkish shave from a barber here. And I have to say it was quite an experience. They are quite prevalent, so we only had to walk for about a block to get to one. It was so nice to just sit down in the chair and get the hot lather, the straight razor (with two passes), and some aftershave that has a lot of kick. It was so nice to just sit back and enjoy the shave.
From there we went back to Wedding Palace for lunch, then off to the Armoni Park Shopping Centre for a show. It was nice to be in air conditioning, but the tile floor was quite slippery. We performed Slavonic Dance, Peacock, and Volyn, and it went pretty well, even with Morgan feeling a bit under the weather.
After lunch we went back to the hotel for a break and supper and then headed back to the lake for the evening performance. We performed Intoduction, Girls’ Dance, and Hopak, and it was a bit of a rushed change for the girls but worked out okay.
We came back for Spain & Switzerland’s special night of the groups, which was fairly interesting, but I was quite beat so didn’t stick around too long, and went off to bed.
